The channel has a stable of content with big fan bases (Damages, The Wire) but was about to get into production of original content as well. Since being a part of an audience is a social event, we wanted to really push the social component of participating in a group. Using Twitter, Facebook, and other social platforms, we designed a system of promotion to speak to the audience and allow them to participate in the same place, The Audience. Using a layering system, we illustrate the visual language of our call: "Watch. Listen. React." The film was made during the 3 month pitch process at thelab, where we made our Skunk Works style workspace to compete on the pitch. With the windows blacked out, we made several films, pioneered a process called "Rapid Prototyping" and developed several breakthrough concepts. After winning the account, a core creative team was assembled and moved to LA for a grueling one month shoot to produce all the work. We built a mobile production studio on set in a vacant soundstage and were developing, animating, testing, and shooting all at the same time. GRAPHICS + SOUND SKETCH This was a sound + graphics sketch we worked on to get the visual language figured out.
